At the beginning of October, I had cortisone injections in my lower back to help break me out of the cycle of pain I was in. The cycle being, my back hurts, so I do not do anything, because I do not exercise, my back does not get better, etc...

Now, Cortisone injections hurt, a lot.  I like to think I have a decent tolerance for pain due to my migraines, but this is pain in a very different sort of way.  When I get them, I have dragonbladed1 in another room cause I do not want him to see me in such pain when they give me the shots. He would want to hurt someone (the DR) cause he wants nothing or nobody to give me pain. I love this in him. However, the shots were so worth that short term pain. For the first time since the accident in December, I feel more like myself again and am less afraid of doing my 'normal' activities like grocery shopping. Now I just need to add more activity in to strengthen the muscles back up again. I still have limited shopping time, but it is longer than previous to the shots and the pain is not as bad as it was if I walk a little too long!

We celebrated our first anniversary. It was low key and that was ok by us. We went out to dinner and then went bowling, again yeah shots.

I am happy that LARP season is over, cause I just want some week-end downtime.

Craft fair season is upon us and I am looking forward to walking the shows (which I can do now, yeah shots). I don't generally buy much at the shows being generally crafty but I like looking at the shinies and will buy the things that I have no talent at, like pottery.

The house is all cluttered and needs a major de-clutter, so heres to ambition cause I need to declutter if I want to decorate for the Holidays, which I really like doing.

I picked my first two tomatoes and I am pretty sure one of them is in my salad today along with garden lettuce. More tomatoes are yellow/orange and many more are still green. I expect a lot to turn at the same time.

Unfortunately, the June weather, did my cukes in. The plants exist, but they are tiny and I have one itty bitty cuke at this time. Better luck next year.

We found a farmstand in Salem NH that sells fresh mint and basil along with the standard veggies. We have had plenty of pesto which is a new favorite of mine.

I need to clip mint and make some more tea, I noticed it is getting overgrown. Who knew that would happen with mint? ( :) )

I am looking forward to the break in humidity as we have no AC. But I suppose it is better than all that rain in June.

Had a good week end. Went over tostitchinlin 's Friday night to spend the evening because we were having a Che'Garre'Warre meeting on aturday fo rthe Isles game.

Stitch has had a rough time recently with her Mum and dragonbladed1  went out Friday day to help with the kitchen cleaning and organizing and etc. This made things a bit easier on her and all was good.

We ended up opening some bottles of alcohol and we had our Chocolate Raspberry Port from Incredibrew. It was absolutely delightful and delectable and it has been offically named  Fountain of Decadence - thanks wild_black_rose ! The two bottles we had was not nearly enough, we could have drunk two more easily!

The meeting on Saturday was loud and chaotic as is per normal and much food and talk was had. Afterwards people nibbled on leftovers some more and I was so tired I fell asleep on the chair downstairs until I was kicked upstairs to go to bed.

Sunday morning was Dim Sum and then Dim Sum food coma.

The afternoon was naps and sewing for NERO to get some stuff done for Don.

All in all, a good week-end.

Did I mention Fountain of Decadence? It was so yummy!!!!!!

Too Funny! Iam working on a presentation for a conference I am attending on Monday and writing is my worst thing. I guess I do need more Purple!

The NERO reunion was at YOC, so we went out Saturday afternoon to spend a couple of hours. It was a small gathering at that time and we had to leave early because we needed to be in Manchester by 6:30... because my brother was getting married. As we stated when we said our goodbyes at the reunion, family trumps NERO.

So we show up for the Black & White themed affair, and my darling looks very handsome in his suit, we see my brother Steve, Tina, and the kids, Stevie (His), Marcus & Jocelyn (Hers) all looking good with the boys in suits. Stevie is 16 and was the best man and he had the rings. Marcus escorted Tina in and Jocelyn was her attendant.  Stevie was teased about being careful to not lose or drop the rings by my family because of my wedding.  Stevie did well and pulled out the box, opened it and then.... you guessed it... the sound of a ring clattering on the dance floor was heard. My table started laughing uproariously at this and we made quite a scene in the middle of their ceremony, but it could not be helped. It was too funny.

A new tradition has been developed. Dad says from now on a string must be attached to the ring to help prevent mishaps. But the story will move to legend and who knows what it will be like when the next generation gets married.

Sunday was lazing around and not doing much. Now back to our regularly scheduled Monday.
